Meet Handsome !!! This beautiful boy had such a sad beginning but I am hoping for a happy ending !!! He lived his WHOLE life chained to a broken down dog house. If you saw the pictures it would truly break your heart. The chain was heavier than him. When they rescued him he was the saddest thing you have ever seen. Once rescued we quickly put him in foster, where he is just thriving. Handsome is the true meaning of grateful. He LOVES everyone !!! His foster says all handsome wants is someone to love him. He will follow you everywhere. He is low energy, just happy to be near you. He is living with a little girl and other fur siblings and is as happy as happy can be. He is learning how to play with his fur siblings and running in the backyard. The foster also has a puppy in the house, who handsome just loves. He lets the puppy take bones from him, eat out of his dish and just snuggles next to him. This boy is just wonderful. As for the little girl in the house, well handsome is as gentle as gentle can be. he just lays next her her and lets her snuggle with him. He is just a dream. He is the true meaning of being grateful to be saved. I think Handsome would be just a great addition to any home. He's one of those dogs you call easy !!! He would love to be loved by someone and go for nice walks, hiking or even just to lay on the couch and soak up all the love you can give him. I believe whoever decides to adopt this boy will truly luck out and really give him his rags to riches story. Handsome is 2 years old, UTD on shots, neutered and just waiting for his family. If interested in meeting handsome please fill out an adoption app at www.snarrnortheast.org **PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING** **Please understand that we are a volunteer based organization. While our volunteers try to answer all emails/questions as quickly as possible, below please find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. We ask that you please read these FAQ's to see if your question has already been answered before emailing additional questions: - If a dog or puppy is listed on Petfinder, they are still available. Please do not email asking if they are still available. If a dog or puppy is still listed, then we are still accepting applications 🙂 We do not go on a first come first serve basis, but on best fit for the family and most importantly, the puppy or dog. - We are taking our best guess on breed and size when fully-grown (or already an adult), based on the puppy's/dog’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely are able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. - Our dogs/puppies are either at our Adoption Center in Brewster, NY, in foster care, or are adopted straight from transport. An application is necessary to meet any dog/puppy. Often, dogs and puppies are spoken for before they arrive. Many people feel more comfortable with a meet and greet which we completely understand and respect, however please know you are taking a chance of that puppy/dog getting adopted by someone else before hand. - The way to start the process for any dog or puppy is by filling out an application. Applications for foster or adoption can be found at www.snarrnortheast.org and by clicking either adopt or foster from the main menu. If you fill out an application, please make sure you answer all the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email, otherwise we did NOT receive it. |
